This painting was part of a series of work painted after returning from my trip to Venice in 2015 and was inspired by the wondering paintings of Tintorretto I was blessed to see throughout my adventures in the city. I too sought the luminous color and spiritual depth seeping out of the ruddy depths of earthy tones and the winding alleys of a mysterious place.
